THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE COMPANY
The mother and daughter team of Purple Mint Catering are true food enthusiasts. The only thing Michelle loves more than cooking is eating. Rosalie’s known for the parties she hosts. She’s at her happiest when she’s cooking and entertaining. They make a perfect team. Hence, the birth of Purple Mint Catering.
In the course of 25 years, Rosalie has taken up numerous cooking courses as a hobby from renowned chefs both here in the country and abroad. They lived in Malaysia for three years, and during that time Rosalie studied Malaysian and Chinese cuisine as well.
Michelle has taken up various cooking courses at different culinary schools since she was 12. She graduated with honors from the University of Philippines-Diliman with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, & Institution Management. While she was still in the university, she was always the Executive Chef during catering functions. After university, she worked for BWI Marriott in Maryland, USA and is now Management Certified for Marriott International.
Recently, another talent has joined the Purple Mint family. Yuri, now Michelle’s husband, came on board in April 2010. He graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University and then pursued his post-graduate studies at The Swiss Hotel Management School in Leysin, Switzerland. He graduated #3 in his batch with a PgD in Hotel Operations Management.
Our Purple Mint family is constantly growing. We are proud to announce that Yage Mallari has officially joined our team last August 2011. She and Michelle were college classmates in the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Yage has always been passionate about food and service. She was once part of the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Hotel, Florida, USA. She also just recently finished her Master of Business Administration degree at the University Philippines-Diliman.
A lot of their culinary influence and customer service orientation has come from their travels all over the world. They hope to share their passion for food and their love for throwing great parties and events through Purple Mint Catering.
